Description: YMCA of the USA - The goal of the YMCA of the USA Web 2.0 enhancements is to engage more students by growing the number of YMCAs using the Y-FACE (Youth Finding Activities in Community Engagement) program. They plan to accomplish this by implementing a marketing strategy designed to reach, inform and intrigue all YMCAs. They will add capacity to the Y-FACE program by streamlining and enhancing traditional YMCA training methods, and inspire new YMCAs to build community connections by demonstrating how YMCAs are collaborating around Y-FACE and exploring new ideas for using Y-FACE. This will be accomplished through the design and implementation of Web 2.0 enhancements to the growing Y-FACE program offerings. Strategies include: Y-FACE rich-media online training materials, a series of online training modules to be developed that are segmented into all areas needed to implement Y-FACE in a YMCA. Segments may include: the benefits of adopting a service-learning framework; identifying the best methods for working with individuals or groups of teens; securing quality community partnerships; or measuring success. Training segments will include combinations of Learn and Serve resources, video interviews with YMCA and YMCA of the USA staff, community partners, and teen commentary.
