Lake Forest Academy's Habitat Restoration
"Right now on our planet, the environmental issues are becoming the most important things. In our group A8D3, we are trying to do as well as we possibly can to protect the earth. We work out in Lake County open lands to help them organize some trees to help it grow up better next year. Everyone is enjoying doing services. In our opinion, we should spread this mindset of helping society so that more people can get involved next time we go to Lake Forest open land to keep the enviroment around us healthy. In some forests, smaller trees require an abundance of sunlight or grow at a faster pace and take the light and nutrients needed by the bigger trees. By using personal skills, and having a lot of courage we were able to help our environment a lot. The most dangerous trees we had to deal with was European buckthorn. We could solve this problem by cutting them down, putting them on a pile and burning them afterwards. We can make announcements, poster campaigns, and blog about this project to get more people involved. We will appreciate it if anyone could join us to create a new world, a new earth!"
