Given the impact of the economy on non-profit organizations over the last several years, many programs are struggling to keep their doors open. Creativity and resourcefulness are necessary skills as youth mentoring programs find the need for their services increase while their supports diminish. This year, we address ways for programs to sustain their viability by working with each other and within other systems. Our goal, as always, is for participants to walk away with concrete tools and practical suggestions to easily implement into their new or existing programs, making both attendees and their programs stronger and better able to serve their communities.
The annual mentoring conference offers eight half-day and one full-day pre-conference courses facilitated by youth mentoring experts and trainers from across the country, providing intensive and specialized content in such subject areas as Mentoring 101, Mentor Screening, Mentor Training, and Volunteer Recruitment. On the second day, the conference consists of fifteen workshop sessions grouped in five thematic “tracks.” During our complimentary breakfast and lunch, you will be inspired by our two keynote presenters, including Jean Rhodes, Ph.D.
