This event is separated in two parts:
Service Learning Institue: May 16-18 The Indiana Campus Compact Service Learning Institute (SLI) is a hands-on opportunity for higher education service learning instructors, or staff who support service learning curriculum design, to learn how to build or refine a service learning course through the development of learning outcomes and quality service learning experiences, as well as craft meaningful assignments and reflection and assessment activities.
Targeted audience:
- Faculty and graduate students who are developing a service learning course
- Faculty and staff who support service learning course design
IUPUI Research Academy: May 18-20 The IUPUI Research Academy is an interactive summer workshop to develop skills, learn about methods and literature, develop a research project and advance research related to service learning in higher education. IRA is sponsored by the IUPUI Center for Service and Learning and Indiana Campus Compact.
Targeted audience:
- Service learning researchers; faculty who are developing research projects, as well as graduate students
- Faculty and staff who want to facilitate faculty research on service learning
- Note: This year, we will have separate concurrent tracks to help facilitate faculty research for service learning on your campus.
