A self-paced, online Civic Engagement Seminar, part of the Mississippi Higher Education Consortium Lighthouse Partnership program funded through a Learn and Serve America Grant and administered by the Mississippi Center for Community and Civic Engagement, is available to any interested participant.

Portland State University-Center for Science Education Master's of Science Teaching Graduate Program
The MST program (51K pdf) goal is to advance the use and understanding of science inquiry through an active research program. Graduate students work with faculty advisors to develop and carry out an assessment based research agenda. A variety of scholarship pathways can be pursued, including such areas as program development, service learning in the sciences and research based science learning. Are You an AmeriCorps Alumnus?
After successfully completing a term of service, AmeriCorps members who are enrolled in the National Service Trust are eligible to receive a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award to pay education costs at qualified institutions of higher education, for educational training, or to repay qualified student loans. In addition, several colleges and universities will match the Education Award, or provide other scholarship assistance (286K pdf).
