Service-Learning VIP: Laura

At the end of every school year, so many usable--even unused--school supplies are wastefully thrown out by students. This is wasteful of the resources used to make and transport these items. At the same time, many teachers and students are in need of school supplies. Instead of throwing these items away, clean out your locker for a good cause!

I and my cousin have collected and sorted these usable supplies that would otherwise be thrown out at the end of the past two school years in each of our school districts, and together we have collected and donated over 5,000 items! We encourage anyone and everyone to begin this project in their own schools.
