Washington Reading Corps Toolkit
The Washington Reading Corps Tookit is designed as a model to help schools develop meaningful volunteer tutoring programs. The modules provide schools with resources to assist in training tutors and creating sustainable tutoring programs. It also offers important background knowledge in reading to help provide quality academic and intervention support. The toolkit modules can be used independently or in combination with with each other. It has been constructed using many best practices, research, and examples. Although WRC uses volunteer reading tutors in grades K-6, much of the material provided can be modified to support general tutoring programs across all grades.
