Chapter topics include the following: adults create meaningful roles, youth participation and alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse prevention, the power of a youth alliance, shaping the youth alliance and choosing an appropriate model, recruiting young people, different teens have different needs, preparing teens for involvement (how to conduct orientation and training), fundraising, recognizing and celebrating achievements, how to do an evaluation, how adults successfully work with you, and an appendix of activities and forms to replicate.
