Taking Service-Learning to the Next Level: Emerging Lessons from the National Community Development Program

Practitioners can take service-learning to the next level, by taking partnerships to the next level. This workbook has been prepared to start a dialogue with others who may be considering this approach. It was developed through a partnership formed between the National Society for Experiential Education and three teams of university, high school, and community agency representatives. This partnership has found that the keys to partnership success revolve around interpersonal factors as a means and efforts to define and meet mutual needs as an end.
