Abstract:
This guide is like a tool kit that can be used to build students' public life. It is for groups of young people with adults. There are exercises that may be completed independently and exercises that may be used by the entire group. It can be used in a single weekend session or for a semester-long class. Each of the chapters is based on a key component of citizen politics: self-interest, public, diversity, power, and action. Each chapter is divided into stories, lessons, skills, and exercises.
