Universities and Community Schools (Vol. 5, No. 1/2, Fall/Win)

The periodical of the Center for Community Partnerships; University of Pennsylvania seeks to establish an international network of academics and professionals interested in community schools. The network will hopefully work to eliminate the community and societal problems by developing mutually beneficial partnerships between universities and local schools. This issue includes five calls of action by university presidents for higher education to become more involved in local community problems, session summaries from the National Conference on the University and the City, and reports from the field on universities at work in their communities and academically based community service.
