Abstract:
This article is the account of a high school student who became involved in a peer education initiative to teach students at Gig Harbor High School about HIV/AIDS and its prevention. This student took workshops with adults to learn more about the disease, developed a curriculum, and presented to his peers. he discusses what he learned about planning, dealing with community concerns, and new student/teacher relationships.
