Active Citizenship Today, a program of service learning pilot projects in the Omaha Public Schools, demonstrates service learning with a corollary, the examination of public policy. The student projects "From Omaha to Washington, D.C.," "State Expert Witnesses," "Community History and Geography," "Welfare Recommendations," and "Student Museum" enables students to learn geography, history, and government through community service.
