Abstract:
Service learning has students learn through active participation in service experiences. It equally weights the benefits of the service to the recipient and the benefits of learning to the student. The article examines the benefits of service learning, provides examples of service-learning projects, and describes the use of service learning in health education courses. (ERIC:SM)
