Abstract:
Jackson notes the advantages of partnerships between schools and community based youth organizations (such as YMCA, YWCA, Campfire, Scouts, 4-H, and Boys and Girls Clubs). When these organizations partner with schools in experiential learning, schools become more connected to the community and students' personal, social, and academic development is enhanced. (SH)
