Abstract:
This annotated bibliography includes books that describe the service experience of others, introduce important social themes, tell stories from history, help prepare students to interact with students from diverse populations, and complement student community experiences. Books are presented in the following categories: homelessness and hunger, environment and animals in danger, the elderly, literacy, immigration, education and awareness about AIDS, community safety, and other important issues.
