Abstract:
This manual chronicles the development of the AmeriCorps program entitled Neighbor-to-Neighbor: an Intergenerational Community Outreach Project. The national sponsors, The National Council of Aging and the Christian Children's Fund have worked in three diverse communities in the United States to recruit older people to become AmeriCorps Members. As AmeriCorps Members, the seniors worked exclusively in their own communities to increase immunization rates. This manual provides instructions and materials to ease replication of this program.
