Abstract:
Rubin writes that American college campuses are strengthened when they become more involved in the life of the community in which they reside. Service-learning is one way for colleges to become more involved in the life of the community. Rubin elaborates on the different phases that a college might be in as it moves toward a service learning component, and how these phases can be developed to promote a service learning dimension at the college.
