Abstract:
Terry presents a zone approach to leadership development, especially as it applies to experiential education. Zone 1 addresses stewardship; zone 2 addresses targeted competencies; zone 3 addresses system design; zone 3.5 addresses system inclusion; zone 4 addresses political engagement; zone 5 addresses future shape; zone 6 addresses the creation of meaning; and zone 7 addresses adept authentic action. These zones are a progressive graduation toward fuller leadership skills.
