Abstract:
The conference focused on how to help workers in community health lead their communities and campuses in heath issues. The conference began with plenary presentations by Alonzo Plough, Jacqueline Reed, and Judith Ramaley. It then moved into skill-building workshops on shared leadership, service-learning, healthy communities, sustainable health related campus-community research, generating community support, and cultural competency. These were followed by a story session, a critical issues forum, and leadership action team meetings.
