Abstract: 

This chapter addresses differences in service programs, and discusses a study conducted of high school students. The research looked at whether there were differences in educational development between students participating in service and those who do not. Additionally, the study looked at the kinds of service that was performed, and analyzed whether different types of service lead to different educational outcomes.
