Abstract:
Recognizing common threads among AmeriCorps programs and the banking industry, the Corporation for National Service is undertaking a national outreach strategy to educate banks about AmeriCorps and to help forge innovative public/private partnerships to help sustain local AmeriCorps programs. The handout illustrates sample bank/AmeriCorps partnership models; shows the relationship between the Community Reinvestment Act and AmeriCorps, provides a checklist of activities for successful partnering with banks; and Vicki Tassan's keynote address "Advice for Working with Banks."
