Abstract:
This brief article offers a critique of service-learning, taking an opposing stance when reviewing a book entitled "Educating Citizens: Preparing America's Undergraduates For Lives Of Moral And Civic Responsibility". The article explains that teachers of higher education are only responsible for the academic values of their students, not for their sense of civic responsibility.
