Abstract:
Recruiting male volunteers to mentoring is considered one of the mentoring movement's biggest challenges. This article aims to help get programs ready to tackle the male recruitment dilemma through a deeper understanding of the issues and a variety of changes to make in mindset and activities to get past the issues. The author discusses the reasons men do not get involved in mentoring and suggests motivational factors to get them more active as mentors.
