Abstract:
This study examines college student service-learning and volunteer activities from the community perspective via data gathered from community agency personnel who work directly with college student service-learning participants and volunteers. Also examined is the perceived impacts that college students have at the community agencies where they serve, and on the needs of youth their service is addressing. Also covered are how community agencies form collaborative service-based partnerships with higher education institutions, and what impacts college student volunteers have at the youth service agencies where they serve (according to the agency personnel).
