In January 2004, college students from postsecondary institutions across Wisconsin were invited to join U.S. Representatives Tammy Baldwin and Mark Green at The Johnson Foundation's Wingspread Conference Center in Racine, Wisconsin. The purpose of the discussion was to explore the students' attitudes regarding politics, and their understanding of connections between community service and involvement in the political process. Washington Post columnist E.J. Dionne moderated the event. Wisconsin Public Television filmed the exchange and created a 25-minute video that captures the dialogue. This VHS video was designed to help start conversations about students' attitudes and perceptions regarding service, politics, and citizenship.
