Abstract:
The study was a multi-site investigation of service-learning in several teacher preparation programs. The purpose of the study was to address some of the gaps in the research on service-learning in teacher education between variables in quantitative investigations of service-learning in teacher education and the interpretive categories which have emerged from qualitative studies. A second purpose of the study was to extend the author's previous investigation by analyzing the impacts of service-learning on qualitative measures of pre-service teacher change. (Author)
