Abstract:
This quasi-experimental study examined the effects of service-learning and cultural course content on undergraduates' intellectual development and intercultural sensitivity for four types of courses: (1) cultural content plus intercultural contact/service-learning; (2) service-learning only; (3) cultural content only; and (4) no cultural content or service-learning. Regression analyses suggest that intercultural sensitivity leads to intellectual development.
