Abstract:
Provides an overview of the Making Change program, which aims to give young people in grades K-12 grades an opportunity to become actively engaged in their communities while learning valuable academic, social, and leadership skills. Specifically, the program shows students how to plan and implement a community-wide fundraising campaign, how to devise methods to allocate money to service-learning projects, and how to design and carry out meaningful action (service-learning projects) to improve their communities.
