Abstract:
Give Where You Live is a national campaign connecting teachers and students to meaningful service-learning opportunities in their communities. It provides free instructional resources in the form of this curriculum package and promotes community-level activity by sponsoring a recognition program through which students receive certificates in exchange for submitting reflective essays on their service-learning experiences. This guidebook includes an overview of service-learning, the service-learning cycle, examples, approaches to integration, and advice on developing partnerships with community organizations.
