Recognizing that colleges, universities, and other organizations across the country are developing and providing degree programs, certifications, and services related to Homeland Security, a consortium of community colleges led by the Campus Compact National Center for Community Colleges and the League for Innovation in the Community College hosted a Homeland Security and Civic Engagement Summit. The main topic of the summit regards how community colleges can help address national issues of Homeland Security while furthering service, service-learning, and civic engagement on their campuses.
