AmeriCorps Service-Learning Training Modules

Developed under grants from the California Department of Education and the California Service Corps, these modules were designed for use by: 

• AmeriCorps or school faculty to train AmeriCorps members and staff in service-learning
• AmeriCorps members to assist school staff at their sites with service-learning
• AmeriCorps members to train their peers in service-learning

Included are six training modules with accompanying support materials: Service-Learning 101, Working with the Community, Youth Voice, Reflection/Evaluation, Safety/Youth Recognition & Celebration, and Implementing Service-Learning. The modules are adaptable and can be easily added to or changed to suit the knowledge, skills, and service-learning expertise of the trainer and the audience. Three DVDs are included: AmeriCorps Service-Learning Training Modules Video Segments, the Power of One (also available online) and One Nation, and Understanding School Culture: Strategies for Success (also available online).
