Community-Campus Partnerships for Heath (CCPH) developed this guide to equip health professional faculty with the tools and resources to (1) expand the health promotion and disease prevention content in their curriculum through community-based education, and (2) advance the Healthy People 2010 objectives through that curriculum. Completion of the units presented in the guide will allow the reader to: develop a Healthy People 2010 course or curriculum; demonstrate practical course development techniques that incorporate the Healthy People 2010 objectives into a health professions course or curriculum; describe key components in the process of developing community-campus partnerships that can facilitate the development, implementation, and evaluation or a community-based health professions curriculum; and build and sustain a health-promoting community-campus partnership.
