Abstract:
This article describes an undergraduate course in which students work in groups to complete service-learning projects. Group development techniques are employed to help students function as self-managing teams. This team approach significantly reduces the administrative burden of incorporating service-learning into course work. It thereby improves the feasibility of introducing service-learning earlier in the education process where class size tends to be large. (author)
