Abstract:
Combination of service learning with interdisciplinary learning will yield outcomes that are both promising and lasting. This article highlights successful interdisciplinary models of service-learning in higher education and relevant resources. It mentions that integration of service learning and interdisciplinary learning can provide benefits to students, communities, and campuses. Further, it includes interdisciplinary service models providing a wide range of examples of curricular, co-curricular, and student-led models in various universities. (author)
