Abstract:

Young people are creating community change worldwide, but their level
of participation varies from one area to another. In some communities,
they are formulating ideas and taking action. In other communities,
young people have ideas but are unsure how to proceed, or want to proceed but lack information for implementation.

Community Youth Organizer's Bookshelf is for those who work with or
who want to work with young people in ways that contribute to their
personal, organizational, and community development. It is our hope
that this guide will serve to better prepare people who work with youth to support organizing activities with data, tools, and models from other youth efforts. This reference guide includes information from scholarly and popular books, articles, reports, and other publications in the field. (authors)
