Abstract:
This annotated bibliography provides information on the K-12 service-learning standard of meaningful service, which is described by the authors as "one that fills a recognized need in the community, is appropriate to the age of the students involved, results in a tangible or visible outcome or product, and demonstrates learning outcomes." Applications to service-learning and educational research to support the concept of meaningful service are also provided.
