Abstract:
Youth philanthropy is an approach to empower and establish young
people as community leaders. The W.K. Kellogg Foundation has
supported a number of programs which successfully demonstrate that
experience in philanthropy encourages young people as community
leaders.
The Foundation is interested in sharing the lessons learned from these youth philanthropy programs and encouraging efforts to develop new programs in other communities.
This "framework of best practice" in youth philanthropy is intended to serve as a decisionmaking guide for those interested in establishing similar efforts. (authors)
