Abstract:
Institutionalized professional activism, defined as professionals filling blank appointments spots with recipients who otherwise would not be able to pay for the service, is discussed. Accountants, attorneys, dentists, engineers, and social workers are a few of the professions that can participate in such activism. The author encourages such professionals to examine ways they can make a positive contribution to their community.
