Abstract:
This chapter examines what happened over a three-year period when researchers and practitioners joined forces to field test a self-assessment instrument (and process) to learn how to improve the practice of service-learning. The appendix contains the final version of the Shumer's Self-Assessment for Service-Learning instrument.
