Using the medium of film, this collection explores themes such as conflict resolution, intercultural cooperation, the United Nations, anti-bullying, and many other issues of significance for young people across the U.S. and throughout the world today. The film charts the 10-year journey of the filmmaker to establish an annual Peace Day. The camera follows him as he galvanizes the countries of the world to recognize an official day of ceasefire and nonviolence. The first DVD includes the original 81-minute feature film and the second DVD contains a 32-minute classroom-ready version and a 58-minute classroom-ready version. The website contains 19 student-centered lesson plans linked to the film for teachers of grades 6-12, including lessons objectives, activities for students, homework tasks, and references to curriculum standards, as well as suggestions for taking action on Peace Day.
