Abstract:

The Accent on Student Success: Engaged Together in Service (ASSETS) grant, funded by the Community College National Center for Community Engagement through the Corporation for National and Community Service, required service-learning projects that dealt with homeland security and disaster preparedness. This abstract contains reflections on the ASSETS grant experience at Delgado Community College in partnership with St. Rose Elementary.
