Abstract:
Progress monitoring is the standard that guides service-learning practitioners in assessing student learning, evaluating the quality of program implementation, and using results for improving and sustaining service-learning. In this issue, we offer perspectives on how to make progress monitoring an integral part of any service-learning experience. Articles explore other resources available on student-led evaluation, a powerful example of youth-led project evaluation from the Eagle Rock School in Estes Park, Colo., and the recent research that links service-learning to dropout prevention.
