Abstract:
This curriculum guide offers leaders the following: 1) three units, focusing on watershed restoration skills, youth engagement, and leadership skills. Each unit provides specific instructional goals with presentations and group activities designed to help the students develop knowledge, skills and motivation to be more effective leaders, and to learn more about future educational and career options; 2) twenty-four lessons of approximately 1-2 hours in duration, each addressing watershed education topics; and 3) intentional alignment to Academic Content Standards, the six Career-Related Learning Standards, and Essential Skills required by the Oregon Department of Education.
