Abstract:
This report highlights effective practices of four Corporation for National and Community Service grantees. The organizations represent a range of issue areas, program designs, funding streams, and geography and demonstrate the different ways communities are using national service resources to make a difference. The report also identifies four management practices common to each of these organizations: developing a centralized management structure; building strong partnerships and partners; investing in service participants; and using evaluation and monitoring data to measure and improve performance.
