Launched in 1995 by the Garden Writer’s Association (GWA), Plant A Row for the Hungry is a people-helping-people program that encourages gardeners to grow a little extra and donate the produce to local soup kitchens and food pantries serving the homeless and hungry in their local communities. This website was created by HSU Service Learning Center interns in order to provide the community and local schools with educational, Garden Based Curriculum & Lesson Plans, and resource materials on how to Plant a Row and donate to the local food bank, share resources through a WIKI, and much more.
