After noticing that students in their classrooms weren't coming to school prepared with materials, students in the Club Leadership group decided to do something about it. They decided the solution to this problem would be to start a school store in which students could buy supplies and be more prepared for class. Their school store, Silly Supplies, was born. The store sells pencils, lead, erasers, notebooks, pens, pencil pouches and highlighters to fourth through sixth grade students. Before launching their business, the students learned about business models, supply and demand, cost and profit, and advertising. They spent most of their time developing models and problem solving solutions.
