Description:
This garden project is for use with any grade level .The produce from the garden is intended to meet a community need of feeding those in need. By working with other community organizations and resources, the students can benefit by developing academic and social skills and learn how they can contribute to community building Nearly all content areas can be touched on throughout the project. Integrating content areas around the theme of the life and core values of Cesar Chavez and the garden project invite many opportunities for teachers and students to utilize their creative abilities while meeting an identified need in the community.
