Description:
A teen group from Louisiana chose child identification kits as their service-learning experience. After Hurricane Rita, many children from Louisiana were separated from their families. The teens partnered with the local sheriff to do a Child ID Program which included a DNA kit. These child identification kits will help reunite children separated from their families. The youth registered children and distributed information about community preparedness at an Earth Day Event in April and at several other community events.
