Emergency Kits

A teen service-learning group learned about the importance of families maintaining a 72-hour emergency kit. The teens researched the topic and what families would need to be self sufficient for 72 hours and what should be included in the emergency kits. The teens taught what they learned to local 1st and 2nd graders. The teens gathered all the materials needed to put together basic kits and helped the younger students assemble them in 5 gallon buckets to take home. Each student also received emergency contact information sheets to take home and fill out with their family.
